Loosely speaking, Anderson localization refers to the effects of disorder on time evolution, conductivity and Hall current, or more generally, on the spectral and dynamical properties of self-adjoint differential operators. A fruitful approach is the fractional moment method (FMM) and the purpose of the present paper is to apply this method to a non-monotone discrete alloy-type model. The authors start with the discrete random Schrödinger operator. The main results are related to the boundedness of fractional moments on the one hand, and the exponential decay of fractional moments through the finite-volume criterion on the other. As a last result, they prove exponential localization in the case of sufficiently large disorder.
