The authors consider the dynamical behavior of wave profile systems for a generalized Zakharov equation and a generalized Ginzburg-Landau equation. Using qualitative analysis, they investigate the phase portrait and level curves defined by the Hamiltonian equation \(\tilde{H}(x,y)=0\). They also give the exact explicit parametric representations of the traveling waves to the two equations.
