The author studies the class \(\mathcal{CC}\) of all Abelian topological groups \(G\) such that all countable subgroups of \(G\) are closed. The class \(\mathcal{CC}\) contains all Abelian groups endowed with the Bohr topology. Every Abelian group \(G\) endowed with the maximal \(\omega\)-narrow group topology belongs to the class \(\mathcal{CC}\). It is shown that, if \(G\in \mathcal{CC}\) is a bounded torsion group, then every countably compact subset of \(G\) is finite. This result cannot be extended to all torsion groups, even adding the precompactness condition (it is interesting to characterize those bounded torsion groups \(G\in \mathcal{CC}\) in which every countably compact subset of \(G\) is finite). Nevertheless, all countably compact subsets of any group in \(\mathcal{CC}\) are countable and compact. It is shown that for every infinite cardinal \(\kappa\) satisfying \(\kappa^\omega =\kappa\), there exists a pseudocompact Abelian group \(G\in \mathcal{CC}\) of cardinality \(\kappa\) that contains non-trivial convergent sequences. The author proves that all countably pseudocompact groups as well as all countably precompact groups in the class \(\mathcal{CC}\) are finite. If a pseudocompact Abelian group \(G\in \mathcal{CC}\) is torsion, then \(G\) is reflexive. However, the author shows that there are pseudocompact Abelian non-torsion groups in the class \(\mathcal{CC}\) which are not reflexive.
