It is known that by a result of Brodmann that in any Noetherian ring the set of associated prime ideals \(\mathrm{Ass}(I^s)\) for the powers of an ideal \(I\) stabilizes for \(s\gg 0\). It means that there exists an integer \(N\) such that \(\mathrm{Ass}(I^s)=\mathrm{Ass}(I^{s+1})\) for all \(s>N\). This set of associated prime ideals is denoted by \(\mathrm{Ass}^{\infty}(I)\). The main result of this paper is any set of nonzero monomial ideals can be viewed as the stable set of associated prime ideals of a monomial ideal. An algorithm that determines the stable set for a monomial ideal is also given.
