Let \(C\) be a convex closed subset of a Hilbert space and let \(F,h: C\times C\rightarrow \mathbb{R} \) be bi-functions. The main aim of the paper is to approximate solutions of the following equilibrium problem (EP): \[ \text{find } x^*\in C \text{ such that } F(x^*,y)+h(x^*,y)\geq 0\text{ for all }y\in C. \] To this end, the authors introduce a multi-step iterative method defined by means of a contraction \(f: C\rightarrow C\), a nonexpansive mapping \(T: C\rightarrow C\) and a finite family \(\{S_i\}_{i=1}^{N}\) of nonexpansive mappings \(S_i:C\rightarrow C\), and prove that this method converges to an equilibrium point of (EP), which is also a common fixed point of the mappings \(T,S_1,\dots,S_N\).
