Given a bifibration of categories, one can ask whether, if the base and fiber categories have model structures (compatible with one another in some way), the total category can also be given a model structure. A result of Roig gave some conditions for the existence of such a model structure. However, in this note the author finds a counterexample using categories enriched over a monoidal category. Using the language of weak factorization systems, he modifies Roig's hypotheses to avoid this problem.
