Perelman's entropy formula for the Witten Laplacian on Riemannian manifolds via Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature (Q425158): Difference between revisions

The author studies Perelman's \(\mathcal{W}\)-entropy formula for the heat equation of the Witten-Laplacian on complete Riemannian manifolds. He restricts to a natural generalization of bounded geometry in this context -- so called \(\mu\)-weighted bounded curvature -- that takes the additional weighted measure into account. Then the main result is an analogue of Perelman's and Ni's entropy formula in this setting provided an lower bound of the Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature and some additional assumptions on the function that determines that weighted measure. Additionally, the author proves a monotonicity and rigidity theorem for the \(\mathcal{W}\)-entropy.
