The authors are concerned with a fully-discrete numerical scheme based on the local discontinuous Galerkin finite element method and on the third order explicitely total variation diminishing Runge-Kutta time marching. They use this scheme in order to solve a Cauchy problem attached to 1D nonlinear Sobolev type equation. Reviewer's remark: Unfortunately, the work contains a lot of rather unclear statements. Moreover, some essential hypotheses are non natural and extremely difficult to be practically verified (see for instance Theorem 2.1 and the inequalities (4.5)). Both numerical examples carried out are forced to integrate with the context of the paper.
