Let \(Q\) be a finite quiver with a superpotential \(W\). Denote by \(N^Q\) a fine moduli space of framed quiver representations with a specific dimension vector. \(W\) defines a regular function on the moduli space \(\text{Tr} W:N^Q\to \mathbb{C} \). \textit{K. Behrend, J. Bryan} and \textit{B. Szendroi} [``Motivic degree zero DT invariants'', Preprint, \url{arxiv:0909.5088}] defined a virtual motive of the degeneracy locus of \(\text{Tr} W\) by taking the motivic Milnor fiber of \(\text{Tr} W\). In case the path algebra of \((Q,W)\) is a Calabi-Yau three algebra the virtual motive of \(\text{Tr} W\) gives the corresponding motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariant of \((Q,W)\). The paper under review studies quivers whose superpotentials have a \textit{linear factor}. The main result of the paper writes the virtual motive of \(\text{Tr} W\) in terms of the ordinary motives of the reduced spaces associated to \(Q\) and \(W\) with linear factor. This result is expressed in the context of quantized Poisson algebras. The result is used to find explicit formulas for the motivic DT invariants of Calabi-Yau three categories obtained from a quiver whose superpotential has linear factor. As an example a closed formula for the generating function of the motivic DT invariants of the orbifold \([\mathbb{C}\times \mathbb{C}^2/\mathbb{Z}_n]\) is obtained.
