With a special focus on the cubic case, geometric interpolation, using Lagrange and Hermite interpolation for instance, is considered in this article. The means by which the interpolation is carried out are the Pythagorean hodograph curves of degree \(n\) in general in dimensions two and more. The resulting equations to define the curves are independent of the spatial dimension, but depend on geometric data parameters. This is the subject of the second section, while the third section studies the Lagrange and Hermite interpolation. In the aforementioned cubic case which is studied in particular detail in Section~5, the Hermite interpolation problem is analysed. Numerical examples are provided in the final part of the paper for instance for Lagrange interpolation with degrees five and three.
