An algorithm for the computation of eigenvalues, spectral zeta functions and zeta-determinants on hyperbolic surfaces (Q1936424): Difference between revisions

This paper establishes a computational algorithm for the eigenvalues of the Laplace operator on hyperbolic surfaces. The approach relies on the method of particular solutions and the convergence of the algorithm is exponentially fast. The method is next applied to the calculation of the spectral zeta function and the spectral determinant as well as Casimir energy for various surfaces.
