The classification of the reducible Specht modules for the Hecke algebra \(\mathcal H_{\mathbb F,q}(\mathfrak S_n)\) has been solved in most cases (except when \(q=-1\)) by earlier work of Fayers, James, Lyle and Mathas. This paper deals with the case when \(q=-1\). The authors prove one half of a conjecture which they believe classifies the reducible Specht modules when \(q=-1\).
