This article gives an overview without proofs on affine geometries on modules over rings and associated fundamental theorems. In particular, three types of such geometries are introduced. Their collinations are described algebraically via affine semilinear mappings. The rings under consideration have to satisfy certain versions of the invariant basis number condition.
