Let \(\Sigma\) denote the class of functions \(f\) of the form \[ f(z)=\frac{1}{z}+\sum_{k=0}^{\infty} a_{k}z^{k}, \] which are analytic in the punctured open unit disk \(U-\left\{ 0\right\}\). The authors introduce and investigate the following class of meromorphic functions: Definition. A function \(f\in\Sigma\) is said to be in the class \(MS_{\alpha}\) if it satisfies the inequality \[ \displaystyle{\mathrm{Re}\left( -\frac{1}{\alpha}\frac{zf^{\prime}(z)}{f(z)}\right) >1\quad \left(\left| \alpha -\frac{1}{2} \right| < \frac{1}{2}\right) }. \] Remark. If \(\alpha = \left| \alpha \right| e^{-i\psi}\), \(-\frac{\pi}{2} < \psi < \frac{\pi}{2}\), then the condition from the above definition is equivalent to \[ \mathrm{Re}\left( e^{-i\psi}\frac{zf^{\prime}(z)}{f(z)}\right) < - \left| \alpha \right|, \] which implies that \(f\) belongs to the class of meromorphic spirallike functions. Thus, the class of meromorphic spirallike functions it is a special case of the class \(MS_{\alpha}\). The authors obtain subordination properties, integral representations, convolution property and coefficient inequalities for the functions from the class \(MS_{\alpha}\).
