Summary: A fractional version of the logistic equation is solved using a new iterative method proposed by the second author and \textit{H. Jafari} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 316, No. 2, 753--763 (2006; Zbl 1087.65055)]. Convergence of series solutions obtained is discussed. The solutions obtained are compared with the Adomian decomposition method and the homotopy perturbation method.
