This paper concerns the construction of a 2-fold monoidal structure on the category of tetramodules over a bialgebra (over a base field). A 2-fold monoidal category is a usual monoidal category equipped with a monoidal bifunctor that is itself associative (in a suitable sense) and satisfies an exchange law with respect to the monoidal tensor. The author proves that the category of tetramodules (an infinitesimal deformation of a bialgebra) has a somewhat natural structure of a 2-fold monoidal category and he also provides an explicit description of this structure. Several consequences are then deduced from this main result.
