In the present paper, the Adaptive Cross Approximation algorithm is adapted to compress system matrices that result from a high order Boundary Elements Method discretisation of a boundary integral equation. The model studied in the present paper is in relationship with the Maxwell system. In the final section of the paper under review, the authors present numerical results for the electromagnetic scattering of a plane wave on two different surfaces.
