In 1967 K. Borsuk introduced the notion of domination in the class of metric spaces and proved that domination retains the fixed point property in the following sense: if \(Y\) dominates \(X\) and \(Y\) is a Lefschetz space, then \(X\) is a Lefschetz space as well. The notion of domination was generalized to multi-valued functions, firstly by \textit{A. Suszycki} in [Fundam. Math. 115, 9--26 (1983; Zbl 0529.55013)] and later by \textit{R. Skiba} and \textit{M. Ślosarski} in [Topology Appl. 156, No. 4, 697--709 (2009; Zbl 1166.54008)]. However, the domination in the sense of Suszycki did not retain the fixed point property. In this paper the author defines a new notion of multi-valued domination of metric spaces. It is shown that the introduced notion is a generalization of Borsuk domination and retains the fixed point property. Moreover, the notion encompasses previous generalizations.
