\textit{M. Bridgeman} and \textit{J. Kahn} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 20, No. 5, 1210--1230 (2010; Zbl 1211.30053)] and \textit{D. Calegari} [Algebr. Geom. Topol. 10, No. 3, 1857-1863 (2010; Zbl 1196.57010)] derived formulae for the volumes of compact hyperbolic \(n\)-manifolds with totally geodesic boundary in terms of the orthospectrum. Their methods are apparently different from each other, and involve computing the volume of different subspaces of the unit tangent bundle of hyperbolic \(n\)-space. In the paper under review the authors show that the two volume formulae coincide.
