Let \(R\) be a unital ring and \(M\) a right \(R\)-module. \(M\) is said to satisfy Nakayama's property if for each ideal \(I\) of \(R\) with \(MI=M\), there exists an element \(a\) of \(I\) such that \(M(1-a)=0\). \textit{A. Azizi} [in Glasg. Math. J. 52, No. 3, 605-617 (2010; Zbl 1204.13010)] showed that, all modules over a commutative ring \(R\) satisfy Nakayama's property if and only if \(R\) is a perfect ring. In the paper under review, the author shows that, all right modules over a right invariant ring \(R\) (i.e., a ring all whose right ideals are ideals) satisfy Nakayama's property if and only if \(R\) is a right perfect ring. This generalizes the earlier result of Azizi to modules over non-commutative rings. | |||
