The authors study \((m,\rho)\) quasi-Einstein-manifolds, i.e., Riemannian manifolds satisfying an equation \[ \mathrm{Ric}(X,Y)+\nabla df(X,Y)-\frac{1}{m} df(X)df(Y)=(\rho R+\lambda)g(X,Y) \] where \(R\) is the scalar curvature of \((M,g)\) and \(m,\rho,\lambda\) are constants. They study compact \((m,\rho)\) quasi-Einstein-manifolds and show among others that if \(m>1\) and \(\rho\geq \frac{1}{n}\) , where \(n=\mathrm{dim}\,M\), then such a manifold is trivial, which means that \(f\) is constant. Also, 2-dimensional compact \((m,\rho)\)-quasi-Einstein-manifolds are trivial if \(\rho\leq\frac{1}{2}\). The authors also prove that if the Bach tensor \(B\) of \((M,g)\) vanishes and \(m\neq -2\) , \(\mathrm{dim}\,M\geq 5\) then \((M,g)\) is Einstein or the Weyl tensor \(W\) of \((M,g)\) is harmonic \(\delta W=0\). | |||
