Westbury conjectured that there exists a homomorphism from a universal simple Vogel algebra (universal Lie algebra) \(\mathfrak{g}_V\), defined in [\textit{P. Vogel}, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 215, No. 6, 1292--1339 (2011; Zbl 1221.57015)], to a Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{g}_X\) associated to a holomorphic symplectic manifold \(X\), defined by Kapranov to study Rozansky-Witten invariants. The paper under review proves this conjecture when \(X\) is a \(K3\)--surface. Its approach is elementary and non-technical. Review note: Readability of this paper is compromised by poor English translation.
