The authors studied the wave equation with viscous Kelvin-Voight and frictional damping as a method of viscoealsticity in which they incorporate an internal control with a moving support. The paper is to extend the one-dimensional analysis in \textit{G. Leugering} and \textit{E. J. P. G. Schmidt} [Math. Methods Appl. Sci. 11, No. 5, 573--586 (1989; Zbl 0703.73060)] to the multidimensional case, this cannot be done with techniques in [loc. cit.] based on Fourier analysis. Their approach is rather inspired on the fact that the model can be rewritten as a system coupling a parabolic equation with an ordinary differential equation.
