Stability and bifurcation of a cross-coupled laser model with delay are investigated. Specifically, the stability of the fixed point, the existence of local Hopf bifurcation and its directions, and the stability of bifurcating periodic solutions are investigated analytically using the normal form and centre manifold theorems. Some numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the analytical results.
