In this paper the authors study the effect of cooperation cost on the stability of symmetric cooperative transshipment games with identical newsvendors and independent and normally distributed demands in supply chains. They incorporate the costs of co-operations into the analysis of the stability of these games, and obtain closed-form formulas for equal allocations.
