    Let \(X\) a projective toric variety over a perfect field \(k\) of characteristic \(p>0\) and \(D\) a reduced Weil divisor on \(X\). There exists an open subset \(U\subseteq X\) such that \(\text{codim}_X(X-U)\geq 2\), \(U\) is smooth over \(k\) and \(D|_U\) is simple normal crossing on \(U\). Then we define \(\tilde{\Omega}^i_X(\log D) := i_*\Omega_X^i(\log D|_U)\), where \(i: U\hookrightarrow X\) is the open immersion. In the paper under review, the author proves the following results: (i) for an ample invertible sheaf \({\mathcal L}\) on \(X\), we have \(H^j(X, \tilde{\Omega}^i_X(\log D)\otimes{\mathcal L})=0\) holds for any \(j>0\) and any \(i>0\) (Theorem~1.1), (ii) the Hodge to de Rham spectral sequence \[ E_1^{ij} = H^j(X, \tilde{\Omega}^i_X(\log D)) \Rightarrow {\mathbb H}^{i+j}(X, \tilde{\Omega}_X^\bullet(\log D)) \] degenerates in \(E_1\), and (iii) for a nef and big \({\mathbb Q}\)-divisor \(H\) on \(X\), \(H^i(X, K_X +\lceil{H}\rceil)=0 \) holds for any \(i>0\), where \(\lceil - \rceil\) denotes the round up.
