The authors consider vector-valued fractal functions defined on a nonempty compact interval \([a,b]\) of \(\mathbb{R}\) and based on affine operators \(A: \mathbb{R}^{M+1}\to \mathbb{R}^{M+1}\). These fractal functions are the fixed points of associated Read-Bajraktarević operators \(\Phi\). Given a vector-valued function \(g\in (L_2 [a,b])^M\), values for the parameter matrices appearing in the affine operator \(A\) are derived that minimize the \(L^2\)-norm \(\|g - \Phi g\|_2\). Three examples are presented to illustrate the result.
