In [Pure Appl. Math. Q. 4, No. 4, 1327--1340 (2008; Zbl 1200.11027)], \textit{W. Duke} and \textit{P. Jenkins} studied some properties of a certain natural basis of the space of weakly holomorphic modular forms for the full modular group \(\text{SL}_2(\mathbb{Z})\). In this paper, the authors successfully generalized some of their results to certain moonshine groups. Moreover, they can even admit quadratic characters on the underlying subgroup \(\Gamma_0(N)\), suitably extended to the larger group.
