The usefulness of the reverse hazard rate function is discussed. Some properties of the reverse hazard rate function for both the continuous and the discrete case are given and discussed in Section 2. In Section 3, interpretations of the reverse hazard rate function are considered. At the end of the paper, an example for reasoning a probability distribution through elasticity is given.
