In this paper, the authors study the singular spectrum of some selfadjoint operators and the multiplicity of the singular spectrum with the help of spectral measures of the corresponding Weyl functions. The main results are given in Theorem 4.1, which generalizes a result of \textit{I. S. Kac} [Sov. Math., Dokl. 3, 1035--1039 (1962), translation from Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 145, 510--513 (1962; Zbl 0131.31201); Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser.~Mat. 27, 1081--1112 (1963; Zbl 0238.34033)]
