This paper in several complex variables looks at the question which multiplicative Cousin-II cocycles are cohomologous to a power of order \(k=2,3,4,\ldots\) of a Cousin-II cocycle or to the exponential of an additive Cousin-I cocycle and which such \(k\)th roots or logarithms extend inwards as \(k\)th roots or logarithms at least some of the way over a suitable hole in a domain from outside. We only repeat Theorem~1(b). Theorem~1(b). Let \(X\) be a complex manifold of complex dimension \(2\), \(U\subset X\) a domain in \(X\), \(\mathcal{N}\to U\) a holomorphic line bundle, and \(\varrho{:}\,U\to\mathbb{R}\) a smooth strictly plurisubharmonic Morse function. Suppose that the level set \(\Sigma_{t_0}=\{\varrho=t_0\}\), \(t_0\in\mathbb{R}\), is connected, \(\varrho\) has only one singular point on \(\Sigma_{t_0}\), which is of index \(<2\), and the restriction \(\mathcal{N}|\{\varrho>t_0\}\) is holomorphically isomorphic to the tensor power \(\mathcal{F}^{\otimes k}\), \(k=2,3,4,\ldots\), where \(\mathcal{F}\to\{\varrho>t_0\}\) is a holomorphic line bundle on the upper level set \(\{\varrho>t_0\}\). Then \(\mathcal{F}\) extends as a holomorphic line bundle to an open neighborhood of \(\Sigma_{t_0}\) in \(U\) and \(\mathcal{F}\) stays a \(k\)th root of \(\mathcal{N}\) in that neighborhood. The paper has 4 sections, 1 appendix, and 7 theorems. It also gives some examples of line bundles with or without roots or logarithms that do or do not extend inwards, and provides some pictures of nice hyperboloids and cones.
