Summary: Let \(\mathcal A\) and \(\mathcal B\) be Banach algebras and let \(\varphi : \mathcal A \to \mathcal B\) be a Jordan homomorphism. We show that, under special hypotheses, \(\varphi\) is ring homomorphism. Some related results are given as well.
