A metrizable space \(X\) is densely homogeneous provided that whenever \(A\) and \(B\) are two \(\sigma\)-discrete dense subsets of \(X\), then there is a homeomorphism \(h:X\to X\) such that \(h(A)=B\). A space in which every \(\sigma\)-discrete set is \(G_\delta\) is called a \(\Lambda\)-space. This is a strengthening of the notion of a \(\lambda\)-space. A space \(X\) is called \(h\)-homogeneous, if Ind\((X)=0\) and every non-empty clopen subset of \(X\) is homeomorphic to \(X\). Kunen, Medini and Zdomskyy have proved that a separable metrizable non-Baire space with the perfect set property for open sets has \(\mathfrak c\) types of countable dense subsets. In the paper under the review the author proves that if a separable metrizable space has an open set which is of the first category in itself and is not a \(\lambda\)-space, then \(X\) has \(\mathfrak c\) types of countable dense subsets. He is interested in properties of \(\Lambda\)-spaces and in particular he proves that if \(X\) is a non-\(\sigma\)-discrete \(h\)-homogeneous \(\Lambda\)-space, then \(X\) is densely homogeneous and \(X\setminus A\) is homeomorphic to \(X\) for every \(\sigma\)-discrete set \(A\subseteq X\). | |||
