The almost Mathieu operator is the quasi-periodic Schrödinger operator on \(l^2(\mathbb{Z})\) defined by \[ (H_{\lambda, \alpha, \theta})(n)=u(n+1)+u(n-1)+2\lambda {\mathrm{cos}}(2\pi (\theta+n\alpha))u(n). \] A real number \(\theta\) is said to be completely resonant with respect to \(\alpha\) if \(2\theta +\alpha m=n\) for some \(m, n \in \mathbb{Z}\). For an irrational number \(\alpha\), \(\beta(\alpha)\) is defined to be \(\beta(\alpha)={\mathrm{lim sup}}_{n \to \infty} \frac{\mathrm{ln} q_{n+1}}{q_n}\), where \(\{q_n\}\) is the sequence of denominators for the continued fraction approximates to \(\alpha\). For any completely resonant phase \(\theta\) and \(\alpha\) satisfying \(\beta(\alpha)=0\), \textit{A. Avila} and \textit{S. Jitomirskaya} [J. Eur. Math. Soc. (JEMS) 12, No. 1, 93--131 (2010; Zbl 1185.47028)] showed that \(H_{\lambda, \alpha, \theta}\) satisfies the Anderson localization whenever \(|\lambda|>1\). In this paper, the authors extend their result to the case when \(\beta(\alpha)< \infty\) and prove that \(H_{\lambda, \alpha, \theta}\) satisfies the Anderson localization if \(|\lambda|>e^{7\beta(\alpha)}\).
