In this paper, the author introduces a new concept of limits for sequences of vector-valued mappings in normed spaces. The case when the mappings take values in a real Banach space \(Y\) endowed with some topology \(\tau\) and \(Y\) is partially ordered by a pointed convex closed cone \(\Lambda\) is considered. The author generalizes a concept of \(\Gamma\)-convergence to the case of vector-valued mappings. In particular, the author specifies the notion of \(\Gamma^{\Lambda,\mu}\)-convergence, that was previously introduced by \textit{A. V. Dovzhenko} et al. [Far East J. Appl. Math. 60, No. 1, 1--39 (2011; Zbl 1298.46064)] for sequences of locally compact mappings, and derives conditions which guarantee the compactness property of such convergence. It is shown that the \(\Gamma^{\Lambda,\mu}\)-lower limit in the new version coincides with the previous one, whereas the \(\Gamma^{\Lambda,\mu}\)-upper limit leads to a different mapping in general. Using the link between the lower semicontinuity property of vector-valued mappings and the topological properties of their co-epigraphs, the connection between \(\Gamma^{\Lambda,\mu}\)-convergence of the sequences of mappings and \(K\)-convergence of their epigraphs and co-epigraphs in the sense of Kuratowski is established and the main topological properties of \(\Gamma^{\Lambda,\mu}\)-limits are studied. All mentioned results are illustrated by examples.
