Matrix-valued little \(q\)-Jacobi polynomials (Q2339505): Difference between revisions

Let \(0<q<1\) be fixed. For \(0<a<q^{-1}\) and \(b<q^{-1}\) the little \(q\)-Jacobi polynomials \(p_n\) are defined by the formula \[ p_n(z;a,b;q)= {_2}\phi_1\left(q^{-n}, abq^{n+1}; aq;q,qz\right), \] where \({_2}\phi_1\) is a \(q\)-hypergeometric series. The authors define matrix-valued analogues \(P_n\) of the little \(q\)-Jacobi polynomials \(p_n\). In the case of \(2\times 2\) matrix-valued little \(q\)-Jacobi polynomials \(P_n\) an explicit formula with entries involving the little \(q\)-Jacobi polynomials \(p_n\) is given as well as the three-term recurrence relation and Rodrigues formula.
