This paper studies the finite coprimely invariably generated groups, which are finite groups \(G\) possessing a generator set \(\{g_1,\ldots,g_u\}\) with the properties that the orders \(|g_1|,\ldots,|g_u|\) are pairwise coprime and that for all \(x_1,\ldots,x_u\in G\) the set \(\{g^{x_1}_1,\ldots,g^{x_u}_u\}\) generates \(G\). The main results say that the minimal number of generators for such a group is at most 2 if the group is solvable, and at most 3 in general. Moreover, in Section 3 the authors construct an infinite family of coprimely invariably generated groups \(G\) with \(d(G)=3\) and this shows that the bound given cannot be improved. A motivation for the interest in coprime invariable generation is the fact that this property is satisfied by the so-called minimal exponent groups, which are groups having no proper subgroups of the same exponent. The authors think that the study of coprimely invariably generated groups yields information about whether any finite group contains a 2-generated proper subgroup with the same exponent. Another result states that the presentation rank of coprimely invariably generated groups is zero. Finally, they prove that every finite simple group is coprimely invariably generated by two elements, except for \(O_8^+(2)\) which requires three elements.
