Let \(G\) be a simply connected simple compact Lie group and let \(P_k\) denote the principal \(G\)-bundle over \(S^4\) with the second Chern number \(k\). Let \(\mathcal{G}_k\) denote the based gauge group of \(P_k\) which is the automorphism group of \(P_k\) which fixes \(S^4\). For integers \(a\) and \(b\), let \((a,b)\) denote their greatest common divisor. Then it is known that there is a \(p\)-local homotopy equivalence \(\mathcal{G}_{k_1}\simeq \mathcal{G}_{k_2}\) for any prime \(p\) if and only if \((a_k,k_1)=(a_k,k_2)\) when \(G=SU(k)\) and \(k=2\) or \(k=3\), where \(a_2=12\) and \(a_3=24\). In this paper, the author classifies the \(p\)-local homotopy types of \(\mathcal{G}_k\) explicitly for \(G=SU(5)\), and he shows that there is a \(p\)-local homotopy equivalence \(\mathcal{G}_{k_1}\simeq \mathcal{G}_{k_2}\) for any prime \(p\) if and only if \((120,k_1)=(120,k_2)\) when \(G=SU(5)\). The method of the proof is based on the explicit computation of the order of some map \(\partial_1:SU(5)\to \Omega^3_0SU(5)\).
