This is inspired by the work of W.~Turner on certain unipotent blocks of the finite general linear group, called Rouquier blocks. The author considers other finite classical groups having analogues of Rouquier blocks at linear primes. Let \(q\) be a prime power, and let \(G=G_m(q)\) be one of the groups \(\mathrm U_n(q)\), \(\mathrm{Sp}_{2n}(q)\), \(\mathrm{CSp}_{2n}(q)\), \(\mathrm{SO}_{2n+1}(q)\), \(\mathrm{SO}^+_{2n}(q)\), \(\mathrm{CSO}^+_{2n}(q)\), \(\mathrm{SO}^-_{2n}(q)\), and \(\mathrm{CSO}^-_{2n}(q)\). The main results of the paper read as follows. Let \(p\) be a linear prime with respect to \(q\), and let \(d\) be the multiplicative order of \(q\) mod \(p\). Denote by \(Z_p\) the \(p\)-part of the multiplicative group \(\mathbb F^\times_q\). Let \((K,\mathcal O,k)\) be a big enough \(p\)-modular system. Then, for all \(0\leq w<p\) there exists some \(m=m(w)\) and some unipotent block \(B\) of \(OG_m(q)\) of weight \(w\) such that \(B\) is non-degenerate and is Morita equivalent to the principal block of \(\mathcal O((\mathrm{GL}_d\cdot2\wr S_w)\times Z_p)\). In the cases \(\mathrm{SO}^+_{2n}(q)\) and \(\mathrm{CSO}^+_{2n}(q)\) there also exists some \(m=m(w)\) and some unipotent block \(B\) of \(\mathcal OG_m(q)\) of weight \(w\) such that \(B\) is degenerate and is Morita equivalent to the principal block of \(\mathcal O(M\times Z_p)\). Moreover, the block \(B\) of \(\mathcal OG\) in the above theorem satisfies Broué's abelian defect group conjecture, that is, it is splendidly derived equivalent to its Brauer correspondent in \(N_G(P)\). Finally, if \(B\) and \(B'\) are unipotent blocks of \(\mathcal OG_m(q)\) and \(\mathcal OG_{m'}(q)\), respectively, with the same weight and either both non-degenerate or both degenerate, then they have Morita equivalent Brauer correspondents.
