Let \(M=\Gamma\backslash H\) be a convex co-compact hyperbolic surface. Let \(\Delta\) be the associated Laplace operator and let \(R(x)=(\Delta-s(1-s))^{-1}\) be the resolvent on \(L^2(M)\); it is analytic for \(\Re(s)>1\). It can be meromorphically extended to \(\mathbb{C}\) with poles of finite rank; the associated poles are the resonances and the set of resonances (repeated according to multiplicity) is \(\mathrm{Res}(M)\). Resonance chains can be studied using a generalized zeta function and are related to a clustering of the length spectrum. The author examines resonance chains on 3-funneled surfaces and proves the analyticity of the generalized zeta function. If the ratio between the funnel lengths is fixed, in the limit of large lengths the resonances in a bounded domain align equidistantly along lines -- the associated position of the associated lines is given by the zeros of a polynomial depending only on the funnel length ratio.
