The authors consider functions \(f\) defined in the Euclidian space \({\mathbb R}^m\) taking values in the complex Clifford algebra \({\mathbb C}_m\). Section 2 contains some preliminaries on Clifford algebras and monogenic functions. The monogenic signal associated with \(f\) is defined to be the boundary value of the Cauchy integral of \(f\) as a monogenic function in the upper-half space. The notion of scalar-valued phase derivatives is also introduced. In Section 3, the mean of the Fourier frequency and the Fourier bandwidth are described in terms of monogenic phase derivatives. This is an extension to higher dimensions of the fundamental results in [\textit{P. Dang} et al., J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 17, No. 1, 36--64 (2011; Zbl 1211.30061)]. The final Section 4 contains some uncertainty principles in higher dimensions, both for scalar-valued signals and for axial monogenic signals. In the last case, the obtained uncertainty principle involves the phase derivative.
