The authors are continuing the study of toroidal vertex algebra that were introduced in [\textit{H. Li} et al., J. Algebra 365, 50--82 (2012; Zbl 1345.17019)]. These are generalizations of the well-known vertex algebras, a major difference being the noninjectivity of the state-field correspondence. If \(V\) is a toroidal vertex algebra (TVA), the special submodule generated by the vacuum vector is both a toroidal vertex algebra and a vertex algebra. In the present paper, the authors prove a connection between representations of these two structures. Several examples of TVA are constructed using toroidal Lie algebras, a natural generalizations of affine Lie algebras. They finally give conditions for the integrability of certain quotients TVA \(L(\psi,0)\) and classify their irreducible representations.
