A classical result of \textit{L. Hörmander} [Notions of convexity. Basel: Birkhäuser (1994; Zbl 0835.32001), \S 4.2] asserts that equation \(\bar{\partial}u=f\) has a solution that satisfies the \textit{a priori} estimate \[ \int_{\mathbb{C}}|u|^2e^{-2\phi}dA\leq\frac{1}{2}\int_{\mathbb{C}}|f|^2\frac{e^{ -2\phi}}{\Delta \phi}dA, \] where \(\phi\) is a smooth subharmonic function, \(d A\) is the area measure and \(\bar{\partial}=\frac{1}{2}\left(\frac{\partial}{\partial x}+i\frac{\partial}{\partial y}\right)\). In this note the author gives a sort of similar estimate, but rather than Hörmander's estimate that allows solutions with exponential growth at infinity, the author requires that the solutions decay exponentially. More precisely, he proves that if \(f\) is square integrable with respect to the weight \(e^{2\phi}\) and orthogonal to all entire functions in \(\mathbb{C}\) which are square integrable with respect to the weight \(e^{-2\phi}\), then the equation \(\bar{\partial}u=f\) has a solution that fulfill the \textit{a priori} estimate \[ \int_{\mathbb{C}}|u|^2e^{2\phi}\Delta \phi dA\leq\frac{1}{2}\int_{\mathbb{C}}|f|^2 e^{ 2\phi}dA. \] Furthermore, he shows that under the curvature-type condition \((\Delta\phi)^{-1}\log\Delta\phi\geq -2\), the solutions are unique. The paper is well written and the proofs are elegant. | |||
