The aim of this paper is to study the exact asymptotic behavior of the difference \(D= e - e_n\) (the number \(e\) and the \(n\)-th partial sum of number \(e\)). The authors give a continuous function fitting the values of \(D\), they use analytic properties of it and then they obtain some lower and upper bounds for \(D\).
