Elliptic curves with everywhere good reduction (Q898807): Difference between revisions

It is a well-known result that over \(\mathbb{Q}\) there are no elliptic curves with everywhere good reduction. However, the same is not true over general number fields. In this paper, the authors consider the question for which quadratic fields there exist elliptic curves with everywhere good reduction. They obtain congruence conditions that determine the real and imaginary quadratic fields with elliptic curves of everywhere good reduction and rational \(j\)-invariant. Using this, they determine the density of such real and imaginary quadratic fields. They also obtain infinite families of real and imaginary quadratic fields such that there are no elliptic curves with everywhere good reduction over these fields.
