Anisotropic Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality with fractional derivatives (Q903242): Difference between revisions

In this paper, the author studies the fractional Sobolev-Liouville space \(W^{(\alpha),(p,\overline{p})}(\mathbb{R}^{n})\) and is able to derive and prove the anisotropic Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality \[ \| u\|_{L^{q}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}\leq \sigma^{\frac1{q}}\| u\|^{1-\varrho}_{L^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n})}\prod^{n}_{j=1}\| D^{\alpha_{j}}_{x_{j}}u\|^{\varrho_{j}}_{L^{p_{j}}(\mathbb{R}^{n})} \] with fractional derivatives in the \(n\)-dimensional case \((n\geq 2)\). This inequality extends recent results of \textit{R. Algervik} [Embedding theorems for mixed norm spaces and applications. Karlstad: Karlstad University (PhD Thesis) (2010)] to the cases of fractional derivatives. Furthermore, the constant \(\sigma\) is proved to be sharp.
