Let \(V\) be a vector space over a division ring \(D\) and \(L\) a complete series of subspaces of \(V\) containing \(\{0\}\) and \(V\). Let \(S=\mathrm{Stab}(L)\) be the stability group of this series. In the article under review, the author studies the relationships between the subsets of right and bounded right Engel elements of \(S\) with certain terms of the upper central series of \(S\). Let \(R(S)\) and \(R^-(S)\) be the set of right Engel elements and the set of bounded right Engel elements of \(S\), respectively. The analogues of the Gruenberg and Baer radical of \(S\) are the following: \[ \rho(S)=\{x\in S:\text{ for all }g\in S\text{ the subgroup }\langle g\rangle\text{ is an ascendant subgroup of }\langle g,x^S\rangle\}; \] \[ \rho^-(S)=\{x\in S:\text{ for some }k\geq 1\text{ and all }g\in S,\langle g\rangle\text{ is subnormal in }\langle g,x^S\rangle\text{ in at most }k\text{ steps}\}. \] For a strictly ascending series of subspaces of \(V\) it is proved in particular that \(R^-(S)=\rho^-(S)=\zeta_\omega(S)\) and \(R(S)=\rho(S)=\zeta(S)\), where \(\zeta_\omega\) is the \(\omega\)-th term of the upper central series of \(S\), and \(\zeta(S)\) is the hypercentre of \(S\). For strictly descending series of subspaces of \(V\) it is proved in particular that \(R^-(S)=\rho^-(S)=\zeta_\omega(S)=\zeta(S)\).
