This study refers to Maxwell molecules, hard potentials as well as hard spheres, which restricts the definition of the collision kernels in their corresponding Boltzmann equations. In this framework, a slightly modified and non-symmetric particle system has been introduced by Nanbu, and the main purpose of the paper is to show that, as the number of involved particles increases to infinity, Nanbu's stochastic system is asymptotically made up of independent particles with identical law driven by the Boltzmann equation. The striking feature of this result is that even when the particle system initially comprises independent particles, they do not remain independent later as a result of interactions.
