Elements in quantum tori have a formal Fourier expansion. Owing to this, most of the classical objects from harmonic analysis make sense and one may be tempted to look for counterparts of basic results. This approach really started with a recent paper by Chen, Xu and Yin [\textit{Z.-Q. Chen} et al., Commun. Math. Phys. 322, No. 3, 755--805 (2013; Zbl 1278.46056)]. Motivated by the developments of non-commutative harmonic analysis and integration they established the pointwise convergence of Fejér or Bochner-Riesz means in \(L_p\). They also considered natural Fourier multipliers and showed that completely bounded Fourier multipliers on non-commutative \(L_p\) spaces of quantum tori \(T^d_{\theta}\) do not depend on the parameter theta. In this interesting paper, the author establishes that the situation is somewhat different for bounded multipliers. In fact, the main goal of this paper is to show that the bounded norm of \(L_p\) multipliers on non-commutative tori somehow depends on the parameters solving a question from Chen et al.\ [loc.\,cit.]. | |||
