The authors deal with Hamiltonians which, as quadratic forms in the magnetisations, are not of definite sign. They study the spontaneous symmetry breaking for zero external fields, finding a multi-dimensional generalisation of the Curie-Weiss phase transition. Furthermore, they establish ferromagnetic fluctuations of the rescaled magnetisations for the bipartite model in the paramagnetic phase and at the critical point, by the analysis of those of the generalised ferromagnets. Moreover, they find four different regimes (and three critical values for the field magnitudes), corresponding to different energy landscapes.
